Mr Independent

Joshua is Mr Independent with a capital I!! He goes to the toilet on his own with the door shut, dresses himself apart from buttons and likes to do (try to do) everything himself. He played with Michelle and Natasha all morning and was all tuckered out and grumpy this afternoon. So when i told him off for playing with the video player it caused a full scale meltdown. Mummy wasn't too impressed by this and put Joshua in his room to "think about things" He protested a fair bit at first and then I heard him pottering around his room. I popped my head in to see if he had finished thinking and was ready to come out, but he told me to "go away" I complied but not before I noticed that the curtains had been closed and the light was now off. I left him for a few more minutes and popped back to check on him only to find him sound asleep in bed under the covers!!!!!!!!!!!! Joshua is not a daytime sleeper usually and to get him to nap at all even when sick takes extreme coercion. But sure enough today he put himself to bed. Let's hope he is in a sweeter mood when he wakes up.
