S.N.A.K. : Sensitive new Age Kid

Joshua is most definitely a S.N.A.K. I had no idea how sensitive he was until he started having mini-meltdowns at preschool recently. The first was 2 weeks ago. He just suddenly started crying for no apparent reason. Then he was unhappy about going for the next three drop offs. Then on Monday it happened again. This time though the ever observant teachers managed to make the connection. 2 weeks ago the music teacher went on holiday so Mrs Jacqui took Music = meltdown No. 1 and then on Monday the regular music teacher returned = meltdown No. 2 It appears that Joshua does not like anyone messing with his world and is very resistant to change. I hope it is a stage he grows out of...

Still on the sensitive theme. Joshua is a total Mummy's boy. Daddy gets told to "go away" if he tries to calm Joshua at night. "I want Mummy" is the familiar night time call of the local wildlife! Mummy is also Joshua's pick for shower buddy (Mummy misses those long peaceful showers where there is no little monkey trying to use her buttocks as a drumkit - I know they aren't small but please) Last night Brian was lamenting the lack of love from Joshua to which I jokingly said "awwwwwwwwwwwww" to which Joshua quickly added "poor Daddy!"
