Daddy's Boy

Joshua experienced his first Guy Fawkes night on Saturday when we went round to a friend's house. Brian put on a little pyrotechnic show for us all. Joshua and his best-buddy Joshua H. (yes it does get confusing) were a little concerned by the noise of the fireworks. It seems that our Joshua was most concerned as he refused to remove his hands from his ears. Joshua H.'s Daddy saved the day by producing a set of earmuffs which Joshua gladly wore. He happily watched the fireworks with his earmuffs on and was so comfy on Mummy's lap that he fell asleep despite the fireworks going off in every direction around him. Joshua H. had more staying power and even started hassling Brian when one firework went mental and shot everyway but up... Joshua H. piped up "Silly Daddy Brian!" How gorgeous.

Our Joshua then made Daddy play fireworks with him at Mum and Dad's 4oth Anniversary party on the Sunday. He made Brian stand in a certain spot, then they lit the firework and ran away. Finally Joshua pretended to be the firework and acted out its explosion. Classic!

Daddy is very popular with Joshua at the moment. At bedtime he only wants Daddy cuddles and whenever I tell him off (which is quite a lot recently ..grrrr) he says "I just want my Daddy"Last night the lads were snuggling on the couch watching Shrek (Joshua's latest addiction) when Joshua turned to Daddy took his face in his hands and said "Daddy your sooo cute" Awwwwwww how sweet.
